AutoShortcut is a plugin designed for Tasker or Locale that enables users to execute shortcuts from their installed apps. These shortcuts can be seamlessly integrated into various automation routines.

This application was created prior to my tenure as Tasker's developer, and I have since integrated its functionality as a native Tasker action named "Shortcut." To ensure optimal performance, it is recommended to utilize this built-in feature instead.

It is important to note that AutoShortcut requires Tasker or Locale to be installed on your device for proper utilization. Not intended for standalone use, this plugin operates exclusively within Tasker or Locale and does not generate icons on the home screen or within the app drawer.

Some potential use cases include:

• Automatically playing a Winamp playlist when headphones are connected at home.
• Opening a specific Google Play book before bedtime.
• Creating a new note in Evernote during team meetings.

Additionally, by exporting an autonomous app in Tasker containing an AutoShortcut task, users can employ their customized shortcuts in applications or lock screens that do not inherently support them, such as the stock lock screen on devices like the Galaxy S3. Kindly note that only shortcuts developed utilizing the standard Android shortcut creation protocol will be compatible and visible. In the event of any issues regarding a specific shortcut, users are advised to contact the respective app vendor for resolution.

The application necessitates permissions to call phone numbers to facilitate the creation of a "Call person directly" shortcut within Tasker or Locale. Additionally, Internet permission is exclusively utilized for displaying a splash screen featuring other applications I have developed.
